Present your Waste Video Spot at the Vienna Film Festival 2017!
Call for Submissions
The Vienna Film Festival takes place every summer in front of the Vienna town hall and attracts more than 550.000 visitors. Opera, concert and dance movies are shown open air in full HD quality on a 300 square meter screen, with a brilliant sound system. This year, ISWA and MA 48, the Municipal Department responsible for the City of Vienna’s waste management, will show a collection of international waste video spots (TV, Cinema spots) on two evenings of the Vienna Film Festival which will take place between 1 July and 3 September 2017. Submit your waste video spot and have it featured at the Vienna Film Festival!
If you would like to have your waste video spot shown to a big international audience at the Vienna Film Festival please submit it to our Dropbox account by 31 March 2017 the latest. A jury with representatives from ISWA and MA 48 will select the entries to be shown at the festival. It is also planned to produce a DVD featuring a collection of the best submissions. Your waste video spot should explore one of the following topics in an original, witty way:
- Waste prevention / Re-use
- Separate waste collection / Recycling
- Littering
- Waste treatment
Requirements and Conditions
General Requirements:
The video should be minimum 30 seconds and should not exceed a total duration of 80 seconds. Your submission should be either in English or German, or with English or German subtitles, or understandable without knowledge the language used.
Technical Requirements:
- Format: MP4-file
- Resolution: 1920*1080
- Vision frequency: 50 i
- NO VOB-files!
Legal terms:
You must have the right of utilization for the submitted video spot(s). By submitting a video spot to ISWA, you grant ISWA and MA 48 a perpetual, non-exclusive and payment-free license to publish the video at the Vienna Film Festival, on the above mentioned DVD and in any associated promotional material, posters, advertising etc. including the ISWA and MA 48 website and YouTube channels, without limitation.
Deadline for submission is 31 March 2017.
