The ISWA-SWIS Winter School will be taking place in Denton and Arlington, Texas, USA from 18-29 Januray 2016.

2016 SWIS-ISWA Competition on Sustainable Waste Management Essay

The Solid Waste Institute for Sustainability (SWIS) at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), Texas, USA is pleased to introduce the "2016 SWIS-ISWA Competition on Sustainable Waste Management Essay". Undergraduate students from around the world are invited to write an essay on a specific aspect of the Solid Waste Management in their respective countries. 5 (Five) to 10 (Ten) students will be awarded scholarship to attend the ISWA-SWIS Winter School (to be held at UTA from January 18-29, 2016). SWIS has introduced these scholarships to promote the importance of sustainable waste management for developing healthy and sustainable urban cities.

The scholarship covers the following for the winners:

• Free Air Ticket from country of residence to DFW Airport, Dallas, Texas
• Free Registration for the SWIS-ISWA Winter School at UTA
• Food, Lodging and Transportation during their stay for the winter school
