PRESENT YOUR PAPER AT ISWA 2015

Do you want to introduce the results of your academic or scientific research to a large international audience? Do you want the opportunity to present your work to a public of scientific, industrial and governmental representatives?

We're on the lookout for interesting submissions to shape the ISWA World Congress 2015 program. You can submit your abstract for oral and online poster presentations via our website.

Deadline for this call for abstracts is December 11th.

Karl Vrancken is research co-ordinator for sustainable materials management at VITO, a leading European independent research and consultancy centre in the areas of clean tech and sustainable development. He will lead the Scientific Committee for the ISWA World Congress 2015. Read more

"WASTE PROFESSIONALS ARE MODERN DAY ALCHEMISTS"

This month, we invited Ranjith Kharvel Annepu as our opinion leader. In his blog entry for the ISWA World Congress 2015, he discusses the need to complement the existing knowledge about waste found in reports and conferences with more accessible and engaging information. Doing this, we can create waste-wise communities who recognize the importance of waste management and are aware of their options.

Ranjith is a Co-Founder of be Waste Wise. He worked as a consultant for the World Bank and advised Sustainable WasteResources International on solid waste management. Annepu is also the India Coordinator for Columbia University's Global Waste-to-Energy Research and Technology (WTERT) Council. He wrote at blog.wtert.org and maintained swmindia.blogspot.com.
